Administrative Law


Oldenburg & Stiner, P.C. has experience representing clients involved with administrative agencies such as the Georgia Real Estate Commission, the Georgia Department of Labor, and the State Bar of Georgia.  In these and other matters, the Firm has been involved in numerous cases representing clients before the Office of State Administrative Hearings.


Arbitration and Mediation


The Firm represents clients in arbitrations and mediations through such groups as the American Arbitration Association, Henning Mediation and Arbitration, Southside Arbitration and Mediation Services and various court-sponsored alternative dispute resolution programs.


In addition, one of the attorneys in the Firm, Gary Stiner, has completed the forty hours of training required to be a certified mediator.  Mark Oldenburg has completed the training required to be an arbitrator and is registered as an arbitrator with the Georgia Supreme Court.  The Firm has the facilities to host mediations and arbitrations or they can be scheduled throughout Georgia by special request.  The Firm’s dispute resolution services cover an array of civil topics including construction, contract, personal injury, real estate, business and commercial disputes.


Collection Matters


The Firm assists companies and individuals who are creditors in making demands upon and, if necessary, filing suit against debtors.  After a judgment is obtained, the Firm can pursue post-judgment collection efforts, including post-judgment discovery and initiating garnishments and levies, to obtain satisfaction of any outstanding judgment. 


The Firm also represents companies and individuals who are debtors in negotiating terms for repayment and in lawsuits brought by creditors.  Attorneys in the Firm are knowledgeable with regard to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.


Construction Law


The Firm represents property owners, general contractors, subcontractors, builders, and materialmen in all aspects of construction related matters from drafting, evaluating, and negotiating contracts, to the resolution of disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.  Based on our specialized construction knowledge, our representation also extends to workplace injuries, mechanic’s and materialmen’s liens, payment and performance bond claims, and construction defect claims.  


The Firm also represents homeowners in disputes with builders, contractors and subcontractors.


Contract Law


The Firm represents a wide variety of clients in all aspects of contract law.  This representation includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as the litigation of contract related disputes.  Transactional and litigation services extend to a wide variety of contracts, including construction, real estate, employment, corporate, business and commercial matters.


Corporate Law


The Firm represents business owners with the formation and operation of a variety of business structures, including corporations and limited liability companies. We offer an annual corporate review to help clients maintain compliance with Georgia’s corporate formalities. The Firm also represents clients in many types of commercial and business transactions, including buy-sell agreements, the purchase and sale of business enterprises, employment agreements, and the drafting and review of many other types of agreements.


Homeowners Associations


The Firm represents several homeowners associations with matters such as the formation of the association, the drafting, revision, and interpretation of covenants and by-laws, and placing liens and filing suit for violations of covenants and by-laws.


Litigation


The Firm represents numerous clients in business or commercial litigation matters.  These include lawsuits and disputes involving contracts, construction cases, landlord/tenant issues including dispossessory cases, real estate matters, labor and employment disputes, probate and estate litigation, and personal injury claims.  The Firm has been involved in cases in the Superior, State, Magistrate, and Probate courts in Georgia and has also represented clients in federal courts in the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.  In addition, the Firm also assists clients in arbitrations and mediations through such groups as the American Arbitration Association, Henning Mediation and Arbitration, Southside Arbitration and Mediation Services and various court-sponsored alternative dispute resolution programs.
